A rally took place in Dublin today to protest the ongoing housing- and homelessness crisis and to demand a national housing emergency to be declared by the Government.
Ireland – a nation where your average middle income family can’t find affordable accommodation any longer, where the same families are evicted by greedy landlords, where children sleeping rough is routine not exception, where little or no social housing is available and even those on decent salaries struggling with rents, let alone even remotely dreaming of owning a home – you know it’s a desperate situation. You know it’s time to act…. now!
